Big BLUEgrass Benefit Concert at Sugar Pine Point State Park

The Sierra State Park Foundation will host a bluegrass concert at 5 pm on Friday, August 5 at Sugar Pine Point State Park, with proceeds going to support Tahoe State Parks.

General admission tickets are $35, and youth tickets are available for $10. Parking is $10 and is not included in the ticket purchase.



The lineup for the night includes Truckee School of Music, Loretta Lynch, Broken Compass Bluegrass and Coburn Station.

In addition, food vendors at the event include Big Blue Q and Hand Dipped Ice Cream, with beer sponsored by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and wine provided by Highway 7.



Event doors open at 4pm and music will play until dark. Ticket sales end Thursday evening.

Live Music Series at The Village at Palisades

Join Palisades Tahoe for free, live music every Friday this summer from 5-7 p.m. in village.

The series will feature the Might Mike Schermer Duo at Events Plaza on Friday, August 6, with two more shows scheduled for the remainder of the summer.

2nd Annual Mountain Lotus Bazaar

Enjoy a fun-filled day at the Mountain Lotus Summer Bazaar in Truckee at 10124 E Street from 12-9pm on Saturday, August 6th.

From 12-5pm, local health vendors, along with arts and crafts vendors. From 4-6pm, special guest speaker Adam Kimble will give a talk about Peak Performance: Achieving Your Impossible.

This will be followed by live music from Indie Folk Band Go By Ocean. Food will be available from Mountain Lotus Provisions.

Saturday Maker’s Market at Kings Beach

Tahoe Backyard presents the Saturday Makers Market from 3-8pm on Saturday, August 6th for an afternoon of meeting local vendors, makers, artists and more.

Village Youth Camp Naturalist

The Tahoe Rim Trail is hosting another youth camping trip for ages 12-14 Wednesday through Sunday, August 10-13.

The trip will allow youth to make new friends while learning new skills in the countryside while backpacking anywhere from three to six miles a day.

The fee is on a sliding scale, which offers many different payment options, along with scholarship options.

The fee will include food, camping equipment, all necessary permits and transportation to and from the trailhead. Participants need only take shoes, clothes and excitement to go out.

Yoga Sound Healing Wellness Camp Kids

Kids looking for some mindful fun can join the GyoHarmony Sound and Healing Arts Center for the Yoga Sound Healing Children’s Health Camp.

From 9am to 1pm on Monday, August 8, kids will be able to participate in hands-on activities and mediations, along with an exploration around Donner Lake.

After the walk, snacks and lunch will be served, leading to a music session and a sound bath.

Truckee Certified Farmers Market

From 8 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, August 9, the Truckee Certified Farmers Market will be held at Truckee River Regional Park.

The market will include many vendors and is free to the public.

Northstar’s Bocce Ball Nights

Northstar is hosting Bocce Ball Nights, open to leagues or guests to enjoy a free game with acoustic bands at 5pm on Mondays through September 5th.

In addition, the Overlook Bar will be open and guests are welcome to bring their own food and enjoy the evening at the resort.

League registrations have ended, but games will continue throughout the evenings and live bands will continue to play.

Bluesdays at Palisades Tahoe

The Village at Palisades Tahoe welcomes back Bluesdays, the free summer concert series featuring top blues musicians from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays through August 30.

The event, located at the Events Plaza, is jam-packed with artists, with JC Smith this Tuesday, August 9.

In addition, an outdoor Blues bar will be open with beer, wine and spirits. Catering will be available from village restaurants.

There is a limited amount of seating and guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs if they are available.
