Either Huard had a superlative day, or the secondary suffered

On Friday, it was Sam Huard’s turn to audition for the starting quarterback position at the University of Washington. It didn’t start well, but his time in the pocket probably couldn’t have ended better.

On his second snap during extended scrimmage time in Fall Practice #2, Huard was intercepted by Husky hybrid player Dominque Hampton, who made a veteran move down the middle and snatched the ball from Ja’Lynn Polk.

The UW defense loudly celebrated Hampton’s aggressive, turnover-producing style. This refrain did not last long.
