Coolidge isn’t the only star to be open about the number of people they’ve had sex with, though many are tight-lipped about their love lives, others have also weighed in on their sexual encounters over the years.

In 2019, Mariah Carey revealed that while she’s had a few high-profile relationships, she’s never really played the field.

“I haven’t had that many, but there have been different types of packaging,” Carey told Cosmopolitan. “I’ve only been with five people in my life, so to be honest, I’m rough compared to most in this field.”

Rock star, Mick Jagger’s magic number is probably much higher than Carey’s.

According to author Christopher Anderson, who wrote a 2012 biography Mick: Wild Life and Jagger’s Mad Genius, The 79-year-old musician may have slept with thousands of women.

“It’s estimated that Mick Jagger slept with 4,000 women in his lifetime,” Anderson told Extra while promoting the book. “In retrospect, I think that may be an understatement,” he added.

The Two and a half men The star once claimed he was so good in bed that the ladies called him ‘The Machine’, so it’s no wonder the 56-year-old has admitted he’s lost his sex drive.

“If you want me to guess, I’ll say 5,000,” he told Maxim.

Russell Brand also estimates that his magic number is in the thousands. The comedian may now be happily married to Laura Gallagher, with the couple sharing two daughters, but during his bachelor heyday he once claimed the number of women he had slept with was “up there” at 1,000, as reported by the Mirror.

“I have sex with different women three, four, five times a day. Nine in one night in Ireland,” says the star. The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in 2010.

How does the number of sexual partners of celebrities differ from those who are not publicly available?

While there is quite a range between the number of sexual encounters some celebrities have, the average person seems to see significantly less activity.

According to a survey of 2,000 people in the US and Europe by Superdrug, people from the UK have an average of seven sexual partners in their lifetime, significantly more than their European and US counterparts.

Italians had an average of just 5.4 sexual partners, similar to Belgian partners, while 6.2 was the average number of partners for people from Germany.

Further research by the men’s mental health platform Manual found that British men have sex with an average of 9.8 partners in their lifetime.

This ranked them 16th in terms of number of sexual partners in the 35-country study.

Turkey topped the list with 14.5, followed by Australia with 13.3.

When it comes to being honest about the number of people who have slept with the most people of both sexes, 67.4% of women and 58.6% of men said they have always been honest.

However, there are a few who like to tell the truth, with 5.8% of women and 10.1% of men admitting to either increasing or decreasing the number, possibly depending on the situation.

While it can be interesting to discover other people’s magic number, it’s important to understand that everyone’s circumstances are different and people shouldn’t feel pressured to compare themselves to others in the sexual partner stakes.

“While some countries have more sexual partners than others, it’s important not to compare yourself to these numbers,” explains Dr. Earim Chaudry, the Manual’s medical director.

“Also, safe, consensual sex should always be practiced, and the number of sexual partners is not related to a person’s level of satisfaction with their sex life.”
