Kylie Jenner is definitely not the worst private jet offender!
Private jets are a luxury reserved mostly for the rich and famous, and while flying in a private jet is enviable, it’s actually very bad for the environment. After Kylie Jenner was caught allegedly using her jet for just a 17-minute flight, other celebrities have come under fire for their use of private jets and their carbon emissions.
A study by a digital marketing firm The yard identified the worst offenders by analyzing data obtained by CelebrityJets, a social account that tracks private jet flights. Since the beginning of 2022, these celebrities have already accumulated thousands of tons of CO2 emissions, and it turns out that Kylie didn’t even make the Top 10 list!

In 2022, Taylor Swift is reported to have accumulated more than 8,293 tons of carbon emissions. This is due to 170 flights on her private jet, amounting to 22,923 flight minutes. Her average time in the air was 80 minutes, although her shortest time was only 36 minutes. Taylor’s position as the top celebrity carbon emitter may come as a surprise, given that Taylor isn’t even on tour, but her rep says it has to do with other people using her plane.
“Taylor’s aircraft is regularly rented out to other individuals. To attribute most or all of these trips to her is patently incorrect,” Taylor’s spokesperson said in a statement.
Professional boxer Floyd Mayweather is believed to have produced 7,076.8 tonnes of CO2 in 177 private jet flights this year, the most of any celebrity on this list. His private jet history also includes the shortest flight on this list, thanks to a trip to Las Vegas that lasted just 10 minutes.
